The problem may be due to common USB conflict with the previous USB cable / cradle that connected to the same computer.
Please follow the below steps and try if the cradle works: -
1. Unplug the USB cradle off the computer.
2. Uninstall the synchronization software used to sync the PDA (i.e. Palm Hotsync, Microsoft Activesync etc).
3. Shut down the computer (power off).
4. Start the computer (power on).
5. Reinstall the synchronization software.
6. Connect the PDA/cell phone in the cradle and standby.
7. When the software prompt to connect the device, connect the USB cradle to the computer. Try to avoid the port that you have previously used.
8. Your computer should be able to find the PDA/cell phone device now and sync with no problem.
