Article We have recently received some inquiries about our AV cable for Apple iPhone 1G 3G / iPod Touch 1G 2G / iPod Classic. The following FAQ applies to SKU:

SKU: C-1021-AVUSB
SKU: C-1021-AV

We have tested the cable and it is compatible with the following Apple model:
- Apple iPhone 1G 3G
- Apple iPod Touch 1G 2G
- Apple iPod Classic

If you have difficulty using the cable, please make sure the following is properly setup in your Apple iPod/iPhone:

For Apple iPhone:
- Ensure you have the most updated firmware. To check your firmware version, go to >Settings >General >About >Version
- Make sure the TV-out is turn on and in right setting.
Go to >Settings >iPod >TV Signal = NTSC (unless you have a PAL TV).
You may choose widescreen On/Off.
- To test the video, go to
>Main Menu >iPod >Video >Select any Video to play

For Apple iPod Classic and equivalent:
- Ensure you have the most updated firmware. To check your firmware version, go to
>Settings >About > Press '>>|' 2 times to go to the third tab, and view >Version.
- Make sure the TV-out is turn on and in right setting. Go to
> Video >Settings >TV Out = ON, and
>TV Signal = NTSC (unless you have a PAL TV), and you may adjust other settings as desired.
- To test the video, go to
>Video > Movies >Select any movie to play

The iPhone/iPod will only play the video on TV whenever a movie/video clip is selected and play. It will not output your iPhone/iPod screen menu.

I have this cable, and an iphone 3g. I tried all the above, but can't get video to play out using this cable. When I plug the cable in, the iphone tells me, "this accessory is not compatible with this iphone. would you like to turn on airplane mode to reduce interference". I have an iphone 3g (not 3gs).

i have an ipod classic and i bought the av cable but my firmware is 1.1.2pc is that the lastest one or i need to update

good guide to verified version and some of the basics to make the cable work, but video still not working on my iphone 3G
